Cindy R. Porter, MD, a Texarkana pediatrician in practice for 26 years, was confirmed to serve as a councilor on the Texas Medical Association (TMA) Board of Councilors, the organization’s ethical policymaking body. The TMA House of Delegates confirmed Dr. Porter today during TexMed, TMA’s annual conference, held in Houston this year.

Dr. Porter is a member of the Bowie County Medical Society.

TMA is the largest state medical society in the nation, representing more than 56,000 physician and medical student members. It is located in Austin and has 110 component county medical societies around the state. TMA’s key objective since 1853 is to improve the health of all Texans.
