Hidden in the article about the high cost of keeping people in the hospital because they have nowhere to go for additional nursing is mention of a $10 billion dollar treasury that Providence was “forced” to dip into. Forced? (“Oregon hospitals overstuffed with patients ready to leave but with nowhere to go,” Nov. 6)

Accumulating wealth is more important than helping your fellow man? Shame! Put that wealth into investing in longer term care accommodations!
