Portland International Airport is served by 17 airlines. The airport itself announced Monday it would no longer require masks after a federal judge struck down the rules. As of April 19, 2022, here are their masking requirements or guidelines:
Air Canada: According to its website, yes, face coverings are required for passengers over the age of 2.
Alaska Airlines: Masks are optional on Alaska and Horizon flights.
Allegiant Air: Mask wearing is not required on flights and is optional for all passengers.
American Airlines: Masks optional for domestic flights leaving PDX but may be required for some foreign destinations.
Boutique Air: The company’s website on Tuesday morning says masks are still required.
Condor: Its website says masks are still required.
Delta Air Lines: Masks are optional on domestic flights.
Frontier Airlines: Masks are optional on domestic flights.
Hawaiian Airlines: Masks are optional for passengers.
Icelandair: Masking requirements while on board are governed by the rules of your destination, the airline says.
JetBlue: Masks are optional for passengers and crew on domestic flights.
Southwest Airlines: Masks are optional aboard flights.
Spirit Airlines: Face coverings optional in flight, but passengers should check for requirements at destinations.
Sun Country Airlines: Wearing a mask on flights is optional for passengers and crew.
United Airlines: Masks optional on domestic flights and some international flights.
Volaris: The bargain airline has not updated its guidance on in-flight masks as of midmorning Tuesday, but it directs passengers to check destination requirements.
WestJet: This Canadian airline follows Transport Canada requirements. Masking is still required onboard and in Canadian airports and checkpoints.
