The FDA has issued a warning about a norovirus outbreak linked to oysters shipped from British Columbia to 13 states, including Massachusetts.Officials said the potentially contaminated raw oysters harvested in the south and central parts of Baynes Sound, British Columbia, Canada, were distributed to restaurants in California, Colorado, Florida, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Texas and Washington. More than 270 illnesses have been reported in Canada.Norovirus symptoms include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea and stomach pain, which can begin 12 to 48 hours after ingestion.
