UPPAbaby has recalled 14,400 All-Terrain Ridge Jogging Strollers.
The exact problem, as described in the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall alert: “The stroller’s rear disc brakes have openings that can cause amputation or laceration if a non-occupant child’s fingertip gets caught in the openings while the stroller is in use.”
And, the notice states, UPPAbaby knows of that happening to one child, who had a fingertip amputated.
This covers all All-Terrain Ridge Jogging Strollers, which have model No. 1401-RDG-US and serial numbers that begin with “1401RDGUS.”
UPPAbaby is offering free replacement disc brakes. For those or for any question, reach out to UPPAbaby online, by calling 844-823-3132, Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Pacific time or emailing support@uppababy.com.
